New York Fashion Week officially kicked off on Thursday, but over in midtown Manhattan, a subset of A-list stars traded designer front rows for a glamorous evening of giving back.
On September 10, Kering hosted its fifth annual Caring for Women dinner at The Pool. Co-chaired in part by Salma Hayek Pinault, Pamela Anderson, Dakota Johnson, and Simone Biles, the event raised over $5 million for four organizations working to end violence against women and children. After an intimate cocktail hour, guests enjoyed dinner from The Grill, followed by a performance by Rita Ora and an after party with a DJ set by Paris Hilton. As is tradition, the event featured a live auction with one-of-a-kind items from Kering brands, including Gucci, Balenciaga, and Bottega Veneta.
This year, for the first time, the fundraising extends beyond the dinner, with an online silent auction featuring a series of covetable prizes—including a trip to Paris with Saint Laurent, a vintage Boucheron brooch, and Biles’s very own signed gymnast leotard. Bidding is open to the public through September 14.
Of course, the black-tie red carpet was its own celebration of fabulous fashion. Below, see all the looks from the night, from Dakota Johnson’s cutout-filled Valentino gown to Alex Consani’s feathered Gucci frock.
